If you purchased a product from a different country, you may or may not be eligible for coverage where you are. For example, if you purchased a cell phone from the USA and reside in Canada and have a problem with it, the OEM may not service you in your local area. If a problem happens, you’ll need to send it back to the country where you purchased it for service.
With online shopping being more prevalent, this has to be a consideration when making a buying across the border. However, with the large numbers of cross border shoppers, it seems people are happy to take their chances.
